Kent to France Removals

Often referred to as the “Garden of England” due to its plethora of orchards, hop gardens and large expanses of green belt land, Kent is one of the most desirable areas of the country in which to live – especially for London commuters seeking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. However, if you’re looking to escape the UK altogether and move from Kent to France, Anglo French can help. We’re a professional removals company that specialises in Kent to France removals and we can also help with car and motorcycle transport, storage and packing.

We have over 30 years’ experience of helping people move to France from Kent, and we understand that the decision to leave one of the UK’s most picturesque counties is not one that many people make lightly. In Kent, the countryside and coast are attractions in themselves; a glorious 350-mile shoreline (one of the longest coastlines of any county in Britain) frames a stunning rural landscape, while the beautiful Kent countryside is dotted with picture-postcard hop gardens, oast houses, orchards and farms. Boasting 11 Blue Flag beaches including Margate, Ramsgate and Broadstairs – as well as the world-famous White Cliffs of Dover – the stunning beauty of Kent’s natural attractions is something to behold.

If food is your thing, you’ll find a lot to like about Kent. Brimming with Michelin-starred restaurants, world-class wineries and great grub in rural pubs, Kent is overflowing with culinary delights. From just-caught fish to tender Romney Marsh lamb, the fabulous locally produced food on offer has attracted some of the country’s top chefs to cast their culinary spells in the region, including TV chef Richard Phillips and Gordon Ramsay’s former Head Chef at Claridges, Mark Sargent. There are so many outstanding restaurants in Kent that it’s impossible to list them all, but particular highlights are the acclaimed Hengist in Aylesford, the Smokehouse in Folkestone and The Black Pig in Tunbridge Wells.

Thousands of Britons are inspired to cross the Channel to live each year, but the British exodus isn’t just one-way traffic; according to the 2011 UK Census, the number of French-born people living in Britain is 137,862 – up from 96,281 in 2001. So, why are French families leaving behind their idyllic lifestyles and decamping to the UK? While many are drawn by the UK jobs market and easier routes to self-employment, one of the more obvious attractions for people moving from France to Kent is the location. The county’s position between France and London makes it a popular destination for the French, and with its comfortingly familiar landscape there a real French feeling around many of the more rural areas of Kent.

There's a definite appeal to escaping across the Channel to France, but it's also easy to see why many British ex-pats and French nationals decide to move to Kent and other areas of the UK, including Devon, Cornwall, Surrey and Essex. We help people do both, and we have a wealth of experience that goes far beyond a simple removals service. We offer full and part removals to France, car and motorcycle transport across the Channel and secure storage for your possessions - we can even help with the packing! So whether you've decided to take the plunge and move to France from Kent or you're moving back the other way, Anglo French Removals can help you plan your move and take the hassle out of moving to France.

Testimonials

Dear Mark

We just wanted to say thank you for such a brilliant and seamless service.   You will remember that your quotation came in at about 50% cheaper than the two bigger companies and obviously we were worried that would reflect in the service.

From your response time, to the lovely people we chatted to in Maidstone with our mutiple questions, letting us add to our load at no extra charge, to yesterday's experience when Nino and his mate arrived, everything has been quite brilliant.

They called us an hour before arrival and were both so cheery and obliging despite their obvious long drive and need to get to the next pick up.   We had two different locations for our furniture plus we changed our minds a couple of times and literally nothing was too much trouble - Nino's manipulation of that giant blue monster around the tiny farm lanes was quite breathtaking!

Great job!  Please thank your team.

Best regards

Heather and David, Trèbes

Dear Jasmine

Doing some tidying up of my paperwork/e mails, I realize that I never wrote to thank your staff for the excellent service.  Not to mention your good liaison prior to moving day!

The men kept in touch by phone during the day.  When they arrived, the van would not fit past the trees at the end of the track.  The first thing we knew, two men were coming up the track, one carrying the armchair, the other with a sofa on a dolly.  My partner was able to help with the last two sofa beds.  There was never a word of complaint or comments that we should have trimmed branches, etc.

They were pushed for time and wouldn't stop for a cuppa.

Please extend them our very belated thanks and congratulations on having such a service orientated organization.

Just a quick message to say thanks for the safe delivery of my furniture from Charente, France to London - the coordination was great as was the care, I really appreciated it,  especially the safe delivery of the grandfather clock and rocking horse, which were my grandmother's, and I was worried about! So - a big thank you - I will happily recommend you.
