The removal costs from UK to France will depend on the following factors:

  • Whether your removal is a full or part removal
  • The volume of your goods
  • The distance between the pickup location to your destination
  • Access to your property

Average Removal Cost Factors Explained

Is Your Removal a Full or Part Removal?

Full Removal

A key factor in the cost of your removal to France is the type of removal.

A full removal is the removal of most or all goods from a property which are then transported to the destination. They are common for those who are moving to France, or are relocating their business and want to transport a large number of goods from the premises.

The cost is determined by the volume of your items, the distance to your destination and access to your property.

The cost of a full removal to France from the UK can range from £3500 to £6000. The average cost of a removal for a 4-bed household is £4500-£5000.

Part Removal

A part removal is when you want to transport some of your possessions or items to France. You could be wanting to transport some furniture or perhaps organise a vehicle removal.

It is cheaper than a full removal as you will only be needing to transport some items. Like a full removal, a part removal is calculated by assessing the total volume of your items, the distance from A to B and how easy it is to access your property.

Unlike a full removal, the cost of a part removal is also calculated according to your removal date. This is because, as your items are transported with other part removals, it may be cheaper for us to collect your items when we are in your area. Likewise, if you need to move on a certain date, it may increase the cost due to our team being in a different area of the country.

The cost of a part removal to France from the UK can range from £65 to £95 per m3. The minimum price we undertake part removals for is £500.

What’s The Total Volume Of Your Goods?

Another important factor in working out average removal costs to France is the total volume of your goods. This is because the volume impacts how much we need to transport, along with how many vehicles will be required to transport your goods safely and securely to your destination in France.

What Is The Distance Between Your Pickup Location And Destination?

As you might expect, the distance between your pickup location and your destination is key to working out the cost of your removal. Further distances are likely to cost more than shorter distances. For example, a removal from Newcastle to Nice is likely to cost more than a removal from Canterbury to Calais.

We cover the whole of the UK and France, and have been helping people move for over 30 years, so no matter where you are or where you need to be we can handle your removal.

What Is The Access To Your Property Like?

Whether your property has easy access can also affect the cost of your removal. This is because a property with difficult access can make it harder for our team to move your goods from the property to our vehicles.

Having lots of stairs and limited vehicle access can increase the time it takes to load your goods onto the vehicle, as well as the number of movers that are needed, which will also determine whether we need a shuttle van to transport your goods.

As a result, poor access can increase the removal cost, whilst suitable access can keep the costs down and speed up the removal.

Testimonials

Dear Mark

We just wanted to say thank you for such a brilliant and seamless service.   You will remember that your quotation came in at about 50% cheaper than the two bigger companies and obviously we were worried that would reflect in the service.

From your response time, to the lovely people we chatted to in Maidstone with our mutiple questions, letting us add to our load at no extra charge, to yesterday's experience when Nino and his mate arrived, everything has been quite brilliant.

They called us an hour before arrival and were both so cheery and obliging despite their obvious long drive and need to get to the next pick up.   We had two different locations for our furniture plus we changed our minds a couple of times and literally nothing was too much trouble - Nino's manipulation of that giant blue monster around the tiny farm lanes was quite breathtaking!

Great job!  Please thank your team.

Best regards

Heather and David, Trèbes

Dear Jasmine

Doing some tidying up of my paperwork/e mails, I realize that I never wrote to thank your staff for the excellent service.  Not to mention your good liaison prior to moving day!

The men kept in touch by phone during the day.  When they arrived, the van would not fit past the trees at the end of the track.  The first thing we knew, two men were coming up the track, one carrying the armchair, the other with a sofa on a dolly.  My partner was able to help with the last two sofa beds.  There was never a word of complaint or comments that we should have trimmed branches, etc.

They were pushed for time and wouldn't stop for a cuppa.

Please extend them our very belated thanks and congratulations on having such a service orientated organization.

Just a quick message to say thanks for the safe delivery of my furniture from Charente, France to London - the coordination was great as was the care, I really appreciated it,  especially the safe delivery of the grandfather clock and rocking horse, which were my grandmother's, and I was worried about! So - a big thank you - I will happily recommend you.
